So I am getting old. Duh! It happens to the best of us even though it should only happen to the worst of us!
As if it isn't bad enough that I am getting gray hair, my sweet little girl has decided that she wants to become a teenager. Okay...so she didn't decide it, that is just the way life rolls. On September 12, she turned 13! And overnight she is a raging walking hormone! She's moody, boy crazy, wants to spend time in her room alone...oh...and did I mention that she is in love? She is madly, deeply, there is no other, in love with Angel! So Angel isn't exactly as "in love" with Tori as she is with him, but he goes along with it. Is there any man in her life that will tell her no!? Why would Angel be any different? All she has to do is bat those baby blues and she gets whatever her heart desires! Anyways...she will talk to anyone about Angel whether or not they want to listen. She had a dentist appointment yesterday...the dentist heard all about, you guessed it, Angel!
So all of these years living with a child with Asperger's Syndrome and wanting and praying that her emotional age will catch up with her physical age it finally happens! I am not sure how to handle it. Should I lock her in a closet till she is 18? Put a gag in her mouth so I don't have to hear about Angel every minute of every day? No, I will love her as I always do and thank the Lord for a prayer answered.
